Autocom Super Pro AVi audio/intercommunication sound system

Back home after our trip to Austria, carried out in past June of 2006, I decided to change my bike’s previous Autocom Pro-7-Sport sound system for this manufacturer most recent model, that I am a happy customer for some years ago, the Super Pro AVi.

If I already was very pleased with the previous Pro-7-Sport model, I have no doubts that Autocom, in my opinion the bike’s intercommunication system leader, surpassed itself such is the quality excellence of the new the Super Pro AVi I acquired at Mocasmoto – Portugal’s Official Dealer – and already installed in my new Yamaha FJR 1300 AE.

Besides offering a larger number of peripherals connections than the previous model (now it has 4 auxiliary plugs), the new system still allows the "vox" control regulation but also provide two independent sound volume switches for the driver and passenger as well as a music "fade" regulation between them.

The new Super Pro AVi driver headset also includes a sound sensor that automatically regulates the system’s sound volume according to the external noise. This way the sound volume is permanently auto-adjusted as the exterior noise changes, providing a complete and efficient hearing optimization either in the communication between the driver and the passenger, as well as hearing music or any other peripheral (ex: GPS audio indications).

The new system "vox" control also offers a much easier regulation, as well as the sound’s clearness and fidelity which also were substantially improved, specially on driver to passenger intercommunications, that now sounds less "metallic" than the previous model.

Although it may be used as a portable system, powered by a 9 volt battery, I preferred to have it bike powered and installed under the saddle. Like the previous ones, this sound system installation is very simple and fast.
