New GIVI taller windshield

After a long Internet research and hearing various opinions, I decided to buy and install a new GIVI windshield (ref. D134ST) in my FJR 1300/A.

This windshield, only 2 cm (0,8 inches) taller and 3 cm (1,2 inches) wider than the stock windshield, thanks to its convex style "flip" at the top of the shield to deflect air upward, it offers me a full protection to the front wind, and I am 1,85 m (6,07 feet) tall.

Besides its great protection this new windshield doesn’t interfere with the bike behaviour at high speeds and also doesn’t disturb the driver’s vision, in contrary of the Yamaha higher windshield (+ 10 cm) I installed in my previous FJR. Because I like to see the road from above the windshield, the previous windshield always obliged me to find an ideal position in order to give me comfort enough without disturbing my vision of the road.

The GIVI windshield It is made of a good quality acrylic that don’t cause any major vision distortion, as you may see bellow.
