"Datatool Turn-alert" installation
Contrarily to my previous 2003 FJR, which dash-board has large and visible turn sign warning leds, the new 2006 model, although equipped with a much better looking and improved dash-board, suffered a substantial reduction in these warning led’s dimension.
This change start making me to forget turning off the turn sign much more often, especially in bright sunlight, with all the traffic riding risks that such situation may cause.
To minimize this risk, and after an Internet search, I found the "", which automatically stops the rider forgetting to cancel the turn sign. It records 20 indicator flashes before activating a quite loud audio warning beeper. This equipment also includes an additional high-intensity warning led to install on the bike’s dash-board, which I didn’t mount in my FJR only due to an aesthetic question.
Thanks to its clear installation instructions, the "turn-alert" fitting was quite fast and simple.
This equipment has been of a great utility, alerting me already several times when forgetting the turn sign on, thus increasing my safety in the traffic riding.
